The Focus
This Forum's focus is on unique and uncommon cruise journeys; that means no big-box cruises. Ask questions, express your opinions, exchange information, and share your experiences — as long as you stay focused on specialty cruises.
Offensive Language, Conduct or Material
Questionable language, conduct or material will not be tolerated nor permitted. Neither will verbal attacks on others or providers of goods or services. Comments which are insulting, sexist, racist, homophobic or otherwise offensive are strictly forbidden.
Religious or Political Topics
These are to be avoided, except in those cases where it directly involves your travels (i.e. visiting holy sites, or traveling to places where there is political unrest, etc.)
User Accounts
To participate in any Forum, you first have to become a Member of the UncommonCruises.com community. And to contribute, you are limited to one account per user. You will not be permitted to make any posts anonymously, nor will you be permitted to impersonate other users.
Advertising
Very simple: It is not allowed.
Copyright Material
Refrain from using large blocks of text obtained from the Internet, online newspapers, web sites, magazines, etc. as they are usually protected by an author's individual copyright. A brief quotation or a URL link to the information, however, is permissible.
Links to Other Sites
We reserve the right to approve or deny any post that leads directly to or links to other sites which offer a commercial service or a for-profit venture. All links to inappropriate sites will be denied. If you are a business owner with a web site, please contact us for approval.
Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Tour Guides and other Cruise Professionals
We welcome all industry professionals to answer Member questions. As professionals, we know that you will behave in a cooperative, purely non-commercial manner on our Forum. Professionals are welcome to start new topics if you have information to share. You can also participate in discussions and establish yourselves as experts on a particular topic by responding to Members' inquiries with useful answers. You are even welcome to add your real name and your professional business. However, do not post exclusive deals, products, or rates — or advertising of your company. Nor are you permitted to use your business name as your user name.
